Welcome to our web site. We are committed to providing our Registrar with a really enjoyable year, during which they will become fully involved with all aspects of our General Practice. Because we are a large practice, we have the advantage of offering you a very wide range of experience.

Partnership

• You will experience the different consulting styles of 11 partners and 4 other doctors.
• We have a wide variety of interests including ophthalmology, endoscopy, dermatology and medical politics.
• Because we are a stable partnership, we are able to be innovative and dynamic.
• Our high "Quality and Outcomes" aspiration recognises the quality of the clinical service we provide to patients.

Premises

• We consult from a purpose built surgery in Marlow (where you will be based) and a branch surgery at Hambleden.
• We are fully computerised (Torex Synergy) and paperless.
• Our Registrar works from their own consulting and treatment room.
• Marlow is a very attractive town on the River Thames, 40 miles from London. The practice area also covers the beautiful Hambleden valley.

Trainer

Andy Hobbs has practiced in Marlow since completing the Reading VTS in 1995. His interests include minor surgery, diabetes and sports medicine. An accomplished sportsman, his enthusiasm, interest and competitiveness remains undiminished despite the attention and demands of young triplets!

• Initial induction period to meet all members of the practice team.
• Run your own surgery with 20 minute appointments initially, tailored as your experience grows.
• Monday afternoons are protected for in-house teaching.
• All day Tuesday is your Chiltern Vocational Training Scheme Day Release Course day.
• Your half day is on Thursday.
• On-call (in the day) is shared out equally with other partners (1 in 10).
• The practice is opting out of out-of-hours (Arrangements will be made so that you can achieve the required experience.)
• Partner cover is assured at all times.
